Dubailand is an entertainment theme park mega project under development in Dubai with completion expected by 2010. Dubailand is being managed by the Dubai's Government and is being built to secure Dubai as the premier tourist destination for the Middle East. Dubailand theme park will contain 45 mega projects and over 200 sub-projects, making it the most ambitious tourist destination ever created to appeal to the widest audience of tourists, of all age groups, nationalities and activities. On completion, Dubailand will be twice the size of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, making it the biggest theme\amusement park in the world. Built on an unbelievable 3 billion square feet of land, and set to be a home to everything from a theme park to luxury residential villas, Dubailand is sure to be an attraction for everyone.
About Dubailand
Dubailand is being built in 4 phases. Each phase will take five years; the first includes the development of initial roads and infrastructure. Building then concentrates on the unique leisure and entertainment products. These products have been categorized into themed zones :
- Attractions and Experience World - a family world of theme and water parks, roller coasters and adventure using the latest technology for thrills and safety.
- Sports and Outdoor World - a high energy world of heroes and champions.
- Eco-Tourism World - a natural world comprising of a series of nature and desert-based attractions integrated within their desert parkland surrounds.
- Themed Leisure and Vacation World - a relaxing world of spas, health and well being.
- Downtown Retail and Entertainment World - a vibrant mix of entertainment facilities, retail and dining.
Finding Dubailand is not difficult although it is currently outside of the city. It is located on Emirates Road and Dubai Al Ain Road, which means it has easy access to it from Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai and Sharjah. Dubailand is 10 minute away from the Dubai Airport and encompasses the Dubai Autodrome and Global Village.
Renting in Dubailand
There are currently no apartments available for rent in Dubailand. However, Dubailand offers many properties for sale with a rental possibility. Unique living is promoted in Dubailand and all residential properties have something different to offer. This means prices will vary.
Some projects in Dubailand like the Wadi Walk, offer apartments with water-ways, the Sky Court Towers offers views of the development and beyond. The luxury design concepts of the Villa Project can be purchased in the form of a studio apartment for around 430,000 AED or a 2 bedroom apartment for 1,312,000 AED. |
