The Project
The Dubai Waterfront is projected to become the world’s biggest waterfront and the biggest man-made development/expansion in the world. The project is a collection of man-made islands and canals. It is an 81 million meters of great development.
It consists of many zones which include residential, commercial, resort, and recreational areas. The ultimate vision of The Dubai Waterfront is to create a first-rate destination for all residents, visitors and businesses from around the world.
The Structure
These artificial islands are shaped like an arc, producing a shelter around The Palm, Jebel Ali, one of the three Palm Islands. The project also features a 75 km Arabian Canal that runs from the coast, a harbor and into the desert. The Dubai Waterfront is expected to extend Dubai's coastline by 820 kilometers which is 12 times the length of its current coastline.
It consists of about 440 sq. kms. of water and land developments which in essence is 7 times bigger than Manhattan. It is expected to house about 400,000 people.
The Location
It is located near to the new Dubai International Airport, and with direct access to Sheikh Zayed Road, Jebel Ali Freezone and Abu Dhabi, the city is to be fully accessible on a local and international level.
The Zones
Dubai Waterfront is comprised of key zones like Al Ras, Corniche, The Riviera, The Palm Boulevard, Madinat Al Arab, The Peninsula, Uptown, Downtown, Boulevard, The Exchange.
The Features
Dubai Waterfront features over 100 different waterfront developments and over 150 beautifully planned communities and investment opportunities. It consists of 10 key areas which includes Madinat Al Arab and which is to become the new downtown and central business district of Dubai. Madinat Al Arab has been created and developed by renowned architects, planners and urban developers.
Al Burj, is one of the world's tallest buildings and when completed it is expected to be 700 - 1200 mts in height. Madinat Al Arab is to feature resorts, retail, commercial spaces, public spaces, residences and great transport system including a mono rail and a superb road network.
The Prices
The first phase of the real estate project in Dubai, Madinat Al Arabhas been completely sold out, for over 13 billion AED.
