Overview
Burj Dubai is an astoundingly high skyscraper presently under construction in downtown Dubai. Designed for a possible height of 818 m (2684 ft) with 162 floors, the building is said to be the tallest structure in the world. As per a current report in September 2007, Burj Dubai has already attained 555.3 m (1,822 ft) with 150 storeys raised. This makes it the tallest building as well as the building with most floors in the world as of now.
Burj Dubai, patterned in line with ancient Islamic architecture, will also house an Armani Hotel, a luxury project developed by Emaar in association with haute couture major, Giorgio Armani SpA of Italy. It will take up the lower 37 floors. The other floors will be assigned as follows:
- Floors 45 to 108 (64 in number) will house 700 residential apartments.
- Lobby on the 123rd floor.
- An observation deck on 124th floor.
- Communication equipment on the top.
- Swimming pool (of zero-entry type) on the 78th floor.
Location
Burj Dubai is located at Burj Dubai Boulevard in Downtown Burj Dubai. The complex is very close to First Interchange on Sheikh Zayed Road.
